Ken Fussichen's Coffee Can Emergency Kit

Coffee Can
Emergency Kit

My friend, Ken Fussichen from Ohio, visited and told me an interesting story about his family's emergency kits he created and they carry in their cars. Ken admitted he hadn't had to use his kit, but said "I make all my family carry one (emergency kit) in their car." He told me that his daughter's car had caught on fire and she put it out with bottle of water. Then a man stopping to help her found that a hose had a hole in it and said, "if I only had some duct tape." The daughter responded with, "I have some." Then the man said, "if I had some ..." and again she had it in her car emergency kit. Their emergency kits include a small tool box (that contained the duct tape) and a "Coffee Can Kit." I thought the Coffee Can Kit was especially creative and Ken has allowed me to share it with anyone that is interested in making their own. If you want to reach Ken his email address is: kfussichen@commkey.net and web page.

Thanks Ken for sharing this cute idea with us -- Byron
