		Respirator This is a half-mask respirator and cartridge (2) combination selected specifically to protect the wearer against sulfur dioxide (associated with volcanic emissions) and other air-borne acid gases. Filter cartridges must be replaced as soon as breathing becomes difficult due
to clogging by retained particles or as odor or irritation is detected.

The half and full face masks shown above are industrial safety products produced by Pro-Tech. Instructions on the proper use, clean, care, and storage are included with these unit. MSHA and NIOSH "Permissible" statements are also included for each basic type of filter. Here are some important things to be aware of: "gas mask" are not appropriate for children, because they do not have the lung power to pull air through the filter. Any mask that covers only the mouth will NOT protect against contaminants that are absorbed through the skin or eyes. Any filter is only effective for a limited amount of time, depending on the contaminates and concentration.
