This is probably the best all around book covering emergency preparedness/ survival guides and it's a jewel. When I first glanced through it, it seemed to combine the best of the US Army Survival Manual, the Tom Brown books and several others, all in this one book. It covers the usual topics of finding water, taking cover, etc. Plus it covered other topics I haven't found adequately covered in other "survival" books. This includes: food storage, growing food, raising animals, herbs, communications, weapons, and includes a first aid manual, plus many more topics. It also has many references on where to locate items contained within each section.
